What is Speed Test Mini?

It’s a free broadband speed test with servers located all over the world .

How is the distance between you and the testing server calculated?

Mathemagics! Speed Test Mini use some fancy geometry to measure the distance between two points on a sphere. One point is the latitude and longitude of the server while the other is you.

 


Speed Test requires at least version 8 of Flash. Please update your client.

 

What must be installed to use Speed Test Mini?

Speed Test Mini should work in any web browser that supports Flash. At least Flash 8 is required to use the current version of Speed Test Mini, but a legacy build of the test is shown to Flash 7 users. Those with a version earlier than 7 will not be able to use the application. JavaScript is also used heavily throughout the site (even to display the Flash), so make sure you don’t have it disabled!
